REST & REPAIR
Give yourself permission to RELAX! As life begins to get a lot busier here is a lovely opportunity for some very important rest & repair. Take 45 minutes to deeply nourish yourself. We will start with some self massage techniques to ease tension in the shoulders, neck and scalp; finding calm and quietening the mind with Bhramari Pranayama (humming bee breath) before coming to some beautiful restorative yoga postures. Suggested props: A clear wall space for legs up the wall pose, a bolster or 2 pillows, cushions, a medium size towel, at least one blanket & an eye pillow or something to cover the eyes. Set your space, light a candle diffuse some essential oils, get cosy and relax!
YIN YOGA FOR SPRING
A Yin Yoga practice to nourish the liver and gallbladder meridians and the wood element associated with Spring. In this slow, introspective practice we will be holding postures for a minimum of 2 minutes. Wear plenty of layers as the body temperature can drop when we are in a relaxed state. Suggested props: A bolster or a couple of pillows, two cushions, a blanket, two blocks or you could use thick books, and an eye pillow or scarf/flannel to cover eyes.
As we welcome the Spring Equinox we welcome a phase of new beginnings and renewal, a perfect time for planting seeds of intention. In this practice we will be stepping out of the thinking mind and tuning in to the feeling heart to find clarity around what it is that we wish to manifest. A gentle practice to release the shoulders, create space in the upper back and to open the heart centre. You will need a pillow or rectangular cushion, blocks and a blanket.
